Benjamin Phua is a PhD candidate in the Monash Creative Technologies Lab.
His interests lie in the applications of machine learning, deep learning and data science to health-related matters, especially as they relate to marginalised groups.
Ben's current research project investigates technologies to reduce the loss of personal items by neuro-divergent university students who regularly lose things.
Memo Bag is one of the many technologies created as a portable solution for when people are out and about. With our audience at heart, the design explores making methods and materials that are low-effort and economical. The current refinement of the Memo Bag integrates techniques from modularity, transformable fashion and visual inventory management.
